Sweat suits and related equipment for weight loss. Note that sweat suits are used to help sweat and expel fluid from the body. This is not a sustainable way to lose weight in the long term and is used by serious practitioners in various weight-based martial arts, especially in competition. This should be done with knowledge of fluid balance and may be supplemented with electrolytes and other nutrition. It is of course fine to use sweat suits over your Gi or competition clothes only to warm up before competition!
